The English Bulldogs are very loyal, willing to please and quiet around the house. The English Bulldog is highly intelligent and very trainable. The English Bulldog is great with children in the family which makes them affectionate with their owner. They are very gentle. They make excellent pets and will stick very close to their masters. The English Buldog is not a fighting dog as they were bred for hundreds of years, therefore they will not go out "looking" for a fight, but on the other hand they will not back down from other dogs. They should be well socialized throughout life. It is highly recommended that these dogs become fully obedience trained. When fully trained, the English Bulldog makes the best companion.
